Equipment Needed

  • Heat press

  • DTF transfer

  • Teflon sheet

  • Parchment paper

Pressing Steps

  1. Preheat the Heat Press
Set your heat press to 320°F (160°C). Allow it to reach its full temperature before pressing.

  2. Prepare the Garment

    • Place the garment flat on the heat press platen.

    • Briefly pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

    • Smooth the fabric to ensure an even surface.

  3. Position the Transfer

    • Place the DTF transfer design side up in the desired location.

    • Cover the transfer with a Teflon sheet to protect both the design and the heat press.

  4. First Press

    • Apply heavy, even pressure.

    • Press for 20–25 seconds at 320°F (160°C).

    • Do not move the garment during pressing.

  5. Cooling & Peeling

    • Remove the garment from the press and allow it to cool for 15–30 seconds.

    • Peel the film slowly and evenly.

    • If the design lifts, lay the film back down and press again for a few seconds.

  6. Final Press (Recommended)

    • Cover the design with parchment paper.

    • Press again for 5–10 seconds using medium to heavy pressure.

    • This step improves durability, softness, and wash resistance.
